As of October 2024, doula support is mostly back to normal - with a couple of added precautions.

Here’s a brief outline of my services as they stand right now:

VACCINATIONS and COVID 19 SAFETY: I am fully vaccinated and boosted for Covid.

PRENATAL SESSIONS: Typically, prenatals are done in-person, in your home. If you prefer, I can wear a mask, or we can do socially distanced, outdoors, or done virtually via video call.

HOME BIRTH OR BIRTH CENTER: I am gladly attending Home births and Birth Center births and will happily do any testing required.

HOSPITAL: I will be there with you in person. Mask wearing is no longer required, but you will find that some staff prefer to wear masks. Testing birthing people for COVID is now uncommon.

VIRTUAL BIRTH SUPPORT: If there is a need to do virtual support for whatever reason, we have a few options - an ongoing video call, phone updates, texts, whatever you prefer. I can support you through decision making, suggestions for positioning and next moves, tips for making the space your own, interpreting what the staff are telling you, encouraging you and noticing how labor is treating you, and doing everything I can to make your birth as respectful, special and joyful - as I normally would were I in the room.

POSTNATAL CARE: In person, unless your preference is otherwise. If your preference is virtual support, I am offering an increased number of sessions via video call - you can take advantage of up to 6 calls over the first 3 months

I am more than happy to talk with you through how you’re feeling and to see if my services are right for you. Get in touch via the button and we’ll arrange a time to chat.
