This class is for folks who have chosen to give birth in a hospital environment, and want their birth experience to be fulfilling, empowered and autonomous - an experience in your hands and according to your wishes. Over 3 sessions, we will run through the ins and outs of labor, coping techniques and relaxation methods, learn how to best advocate for what you want, and how to have the birth you envision come to fruition. Time is taken to recognize and respect your intuition and the knowledge that your body and baby already have, and we will work on how to welcome that instinct and trust the process. There’s discussion on the way hospitals work, the specifics of your chosen hospital’s policies, and all sorts of tips and tricks to make the space your own and set yourself up for the experience you want.
